Christmas morning we packed up and headed to the lake. It was a long drive, and I'm still pretty sure I never want to spend Christmas day in the car ever again, but It was most wonderful once we got there. We had a late Christmas with grandma and grandpa Hall, watched the swans move gracefully on the water, ate yummy homemade dinners and desserts, played games, watched movies and celebrated two birthdays! We did each get the stomach flu- but that's a minor hic-up when your at grandmas house with a warm fire burning and plenty of people to care for you. These are a few pictures of our time at the lake...
Grandma made candy Christmas trains with the kids...
Took an afternoon ride into Kirkland where we enjoyed a little sunshine, lunch and feeding the ducks!
Of course we had to ride that awesome tractor as much as possible. There is always work to be done, like geting all the wrapping paper up the hill and into the trash cans:)
Naturally Ty was driving...that sly smile never goes aways when he's on that tractor.
The sun may not come out a whole lot in the winter, but it's still beautiful on the lake!
No trip to Carnation is complete without a walk across the famous Shakey Bridge...seriously one of my "ALL TIME" favorite things to do!
Then home to celebrate Birthdays with a good old fashion family party. We ate dinner, danced to music, played games and topped it off with ice cream!
Playing Penny toss, a family favorite.
Birthday dinner prep with grandma and Brooklyn's Christmas present, Baby Rose.
Cache Turns 6.....
