This is the way Brooklyn writes her name on school work lately.
Super cute if you ask me, her teacher may not feel the same.
This is her every day when she comes home from school.
She's so in love with the new little guy. I kept telling her she was "Smitten" and she didn't quite understand what that meant. I tried to explain it meant she was, "head over heels" in love with her new brother. Then she pointed out that Smitten had "mitt" right in it, that they rhymed. We loved the whole idea so much we wrote a song.
I've written a little song for each of my kids. Just something simple or silly I sing to them over and over again when they're babies. The kids LOVE to sing their songs to each other and join in with me when I sing to the baby.
Mitts song is to the tune of I love you a bushel and a Peck!
We're smitten. As smitten as can be,
and as you can see it's because this little boy...
He brings us so much joy....and his name is Mitt,
His name is Mitt, and he's the perfect fit for me...for me!
We're Happy. As Happy as can be,
Cause Mitt came to our family...
Doodle, doodle, doodle,
Doodle, doodle, doodle,
A family for eternity!
It's such a delight to have a new baby in the home, and several eager helpers who are as smitten with him as I am.
Happy Hump Day,
Darci

I love your song, and the idea to make a song for each child! And I love all of your posts lately :)

"Brooklyn and Mitt" "Mitt and Brooklyn" -- I love it!!! So glad you documented that -- you must keep a couple of those for them both!
