For much of the summer I was thinking about the fall. Wishing for cooler weather, dreaming of when I could hide my growing tummy under roomy sweaters, and anticipating our ultrasound. It's been a long 21 weeks, but all at once it's starting to feel like fall. The kids and I have been gathering acorns on our walks around the block, the leaves are changing colors up the canyon behind my house and I finally had that much anticipated ultrasound.
We're excited to announce that Mitt Dowdle will be joining our family the first week of January. Now before you assume I'm obsessed with the Republican presidential Candidate, not that I don't think he'd be a great president, I want to set the record straight....... We picked that name about 7 years ago and have been waiting for this sweet little boy to join our family ever since. CALL ME CRAZY, I know. I pick names long in advance, but it's stuck all these years so we're sticking with it!
The weather hasn't cooled down yet....but I feel excited and rejuvenated to hang in there for the next 18 weeks. BYU football kicks off tomorrow night, Halloween costumes are in Costco, the pumpkins are turning orange in the patch up the road. Along with that Cache walked in this afternoon with a handful of new acorns and announced, "I got some for you and some for Mitt!" I love the ever changing seasons outside my window and I'm in awe of the ever changing family living right inside my house.
