This morning I'm feeling overwhelmed. Kevin was out of town for most of last week, and it was good. He got home late Friday night and Ty and I left early Saturday morning to go skiing all day. We spent Saturday evening at Smiths grocery store eating 50 cent ice ream cones then finished up the day with a few seconds of viewing time before falling fast asleep. Sundays are always busier than I would like with four hungry kids home all day long which brings us to this morning....
Overwhelmed.
So blessed with much to accomplish. I'm feeling a sudden and all encompassing desire to organize.
All our closets need attention. Within the last few months each child has grown out of half their clothes. It's time once again to retrieve bins from the basement and get their clothes switched out.
My food storage situation leaves much to be desired. My cold storage area need a major overhaul and inventory.
I was informed last night that my husband needs a space. He's wondering why everybody has a room, or space of their own except him. I thought it was an intriguing argument considering he pays for the house. He needs an area to file important papers, sit at a computer, have his books and look up at a golf picture. I'm excited to create that little space for him this afternoon.
Need a grocery store run, a few loads of laundry completed and want to get out some GREEN!
I did make this fun little decoration using a few sticks from my yard and scrapbook paper on Friday morning, we have enjoyed it all weekend.
Wishing you a productive and not overwhelming monday.
Darci

Oh, Darci, that is a huge todo list for one day!!! Break it down, somethings can wait until tomorrow. Do the most important things first and then take a break.

I am so very with you. After only two stressful weeks in our new home trying to dig out from under piles while also trying to help settle two emotionally needy little girls and having a husband starting a new, very big job, we took off for a very active 2 week long vacation overseas that wasn't able to be rescheduled. It's a strange mix of being thankful for all of the blessings that are totally stressing me out - and I am so not a person that generally has to deal with stress. After returning home this weekend (potentially more exhausted than pre-trip) and my parents just leaving today, I finally am feeling a sense of calm begin to return to me as I am excited to be able to generate and cross off to do lists that will begin to build some new normalcy. My cousin shared a quote recently that has resonated with me, "Smile, breathe, and go slowly. (Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Monk)". This works for me at every step and every level. Much love to you my friend!

Try vistaprint.com for Ty's invites. They are reasonable, have a large selection, and are cute! Shipping does take a couple of weeks unless you pay for them to expedite your order, so order soon!
And I know exactly how you're feeling, but just tell yourself that the only things that NEED to be done are changing diapers and feeding kids. Whatever gets done after that is a bonus but is not worth it if it makes you unhappy.
